Up To Bat Foundation

Silver Creek Athletic Association relies on volunteers to fulfill its mission. As a community, we are fortunate to enjoy the charity and goodwill of families throughout and beyond our township. Every change of the seasons brings new opportunities for us to come together in Springtown and to compete on baseball and softball fields throughout the Palisades School District,the Lehigh Valley and the Delaware Valley. Events such as our Spring Carnival, Opening Day, Picnics and the Father's Day Car Show drive the organization's financials and its fellowship.

Maintaining the property and improving the experience of everyone who spends time here is an ongoing effort. We are grateful to the men and women who founded Silver Creek and we are mindful of our responsibility to sustain it. For these reasons, SCAA has established its Up To Bat Foundation as a campaign to not only brand our fundraising efforts, but also to recognize the generosity of our community.

Our website and every year's programming are a continuation of these efforts. We're happy to have you, your family and your local business' on board. Your hard work this and every year benefits those who follow. Simply put, thank you-for everything great and small.

Summer 2015 Playground Construction

Our Red Baron-BYO Recreations playground was assembled and installed by volunteers over the course of 4 weekends in July and August of 2015. Thank you everyone, for your donations of time, money and expertise to make this project a reality. Special thanks to Wehrung's Lumber & Home Center for their generous donations of our initial shipment of building materials and concrete.

Summer 2017 Picnic Grove Painting and Siding

The success of both the 2017 Carnival and the 15th Annual Father's Day Car Show helped drive a major cosmetic and functional upgrade to our Picnic Grove Facilities. Hardworking volunteers from both SCAA and the Silver Creek Social Club began the long process of prepping and painting the main pavilion roof, our central kitchen an exterior restroom facilities. Additionally, we contracted with Hollander Roofing to re-side the beverage cooler and to replace the door to increase cooling efficiency.

Rentals of SCAA's Picnic Grove has always been an integral part of our plan to develop and maintain the facility. In 2017, The Grove hosted not only our events but multiple company picnics, car shows, family reunions and baby showers.

Thousands of guests plan, attend and enjoy events at Silver Creek beginning in May and running through October, every year.

Fall 2016 Field #1 Outfield Fence and
Split Rail Parking Guides

The success of both the 2016 Spring Carnival and the number of leagues using SC #1 for their home games made more efficient parking and safety improvements a priority.

During Labor Day Weekend, Split Rail fencing was installed by volunteers to better define the facility’s property line and to serve as a guide for attendee parking on the upper portion of the property between Field #1 and Field #2. Parking during larger scale events such as the Carnival, the Father's Day Car Show and of course, the Gasket Goons Car Show was much improved.

In November, we contracted with Tri-Boro Fencing Contractors Inc. to replace 620 feet of outfield fence and footers that had floated over the course of their nearly 50 years of serving as the homerun line for generations of hitters.

There's still more to do, but we are excited by the number of local businesses already interested in sponsoring banners on the new fence.
